Current and future challenges of tall buildings

Did you know that a Supertall Building is a tall building over 300m in height and a Megatall Building is a tall building over 600m?

Currently, the world’s tallest artificial structure is the 829,8 meters Burj Khalifa in Dubai. The East Tower of The Federation Complex is located in Moscow and it is the tallest building in Europe, standing at 373,7 meters.

From an architectural, installation engineering, operation and maintenance point of view, it is a great challenge to build a tall building.

The Spanish Chapter is organizing a Technical Conference about “Current and Future Challenges of Tall Buildings” on 12 January 2018 in Madrid.

The Conference will be leading by key speakers with an extensive experience and knowledge in the design and management of tall buildings.

In support of this matter, ASHRAE has published “The Design Guide for Tall, Supertall and Megatall Building Systems”, a highly recommended reading.
