ASHRAE Annual Conference 2018 – Call for Papers

ASHRAE has announced a call for papers for its 2018 Annual Conference in Houston, TX, June 23-27, 2018. The Technical Program will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center, and the host hotel is the Hilton Americas.

The Annual Conference Program is comprised of eight tracks, and one mini-track selected to represent areas of focus common among ASHRAE membership. These focus areas include professional development, research, fundamentals and applications, systems and equipment, system management (controls) and some more specific design arenas (such as residential buildings and Cogeneration plants).

“The dynamic and innovative industry of HVAC&R is a reflection of our ever-changing individual, societal, and global constructs and demands.” Cindy Moreno, chair of the 2018 ASHRAE Annual Conference, said. “Whether we are facing the thermal comfort needs of a building occupant, the critical environment needs of our expanding medical and technical fields, the food transportation needs of our global community, or the limited resources of our natural environment, as professional designers and installers we are required to evolve with our industry. Even-more-so, ASHRAE members are challenged to drive the innovation, and create HVAC&R solutions that will not only sustain our environment but, in many ways, also repair the human impact our growing demands have had on our natural resources. The 2018 Annual ASHRAE Conference aims to provide the setting for a meaningful exchange of knowledge and experience, and the technical program looks to enrich that exchange with a broad spectrum of topics and discussion. We welcome you to join us as we share ideas ranging from basic design fundamentals to specific applications and technologies.”
